Stellar post this week. I went to Thacher for high school on the north end of the Ojai Valley and would frequent The Inn. It’s wild to see how much it’s all changed since I graduated in 2012 but that energy will always remain. I learned how to ride motorcycles on the 150 to SB and the 33 to Taft. I miss it!
Loved the Reschio rec! Will be bouncing around Umbria in a few weeks. I’ve you’ve spent much time over there yet, do you have any must-visit towns/areas/etc. that we should have on our list?
Ojai is beautiful. I had some friends go to boarding school up there, and it’s very beautiful.
Honestly when traveling I find myself just sticking to cheap air bnbs since it forces me to get out and explore and avoid tourists where I can.
That’s the great part about Europe honestly. A lot of options in all price ranges. I went to the Tour de France last year on the Italy/france border during stage 2 and stayed in a 20 dollar air bnb for the night and was one of the best experiences.
How many Negronis do you limit yourself to a week ahaha? If I have 2 my next day is ruined haha.
totally agree. some places are much better experienced in an air bnb or similar. sometimes a great hotel is needed. always depends on the place and what you're after.
for some reason when im in europe, I can have almost endless Negronis. my tolerance is enhanced. haha. but they will sneak up on you. if I dont want to get too buzzed, I will get an Americano to get the same taste.
