Riley, unrelated but I noticed your 24 Hours of Le Mans posters in your garage photos. I’ve gotten into endurance racing this past year and loved seeing your cars, posters, and sports car posts. Looks like a longtime interest for you. Would love to see more of that and understand where your interest in that came from.
Awesome! - I grew up in a family of Racers. my dad, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather. We didnt’ play team sports. I grew up racing motocross primarily for mojority of my childhood. Car racing was always an obsession of mine since i was on bikes mostly. - as i got older it became more of an interest and i juve love all forms and have been lucky to drive some different types over the years.
Pancakes and Oatmeal will do! - I have my Targa still and I wanted this 6 speed gearbox. I wanted something with complete modern tech to counter balance an old 74 tagra.
I couldn’t agree more with the hotel coffee note! My mind is always blown that I can get a better espresso at a highway gas station in Italy than at my hotel…
If a hotel would ever advertise that they pull a fresh shot from a La Marzocco, it would certainly be a way to get my attention.
We are in dramatically different tax brackets, but I still enjoy imagining how I’d wear the $300 linen chinos as I sip my coffee at the harbor. Cheers!

This post did set a great tone for my day, thanks for that. I genuinely enjoyed the mix of notes and thoughts in one provision like this.
Also got me curious the pick up one of the Bourdain books, feels like a great summer read!
Thanks Vincent! That book is a great one to flip through on any day.
That coffee note tho!
I’m currently staying in a great hotel. But nespresso coffee… I was just thinking the exact same thing
Its a real life rubiks cube!
Would love to hear your thinking behind a brand new Carrera T versus getting an older watercooled generation.
Happy to report I am reading this not with coffee in hand but oatmeal pancakes and eggs instead. Slow mornings for the win.

Fair enough! And I imagine it was pretty cool to be able to spec it how you want it!
Not related but was stoked the the cup release. Was able to get my hands on this one 🤌🏼

Such a simple thing that is often missed!
